UN Meeting Notes

DGTA is a member with observer-status at the UN Subcommittee of Experts for the Transportation of Dangerous Goods in Geneva. DGTA's Board Member and Head of Delegation, Jim Powell, represents DGTA at the UN along with other board members and members who may wish to be part of the delegation. Please contact the DGTA Board (i.e. board@dgta.org) or Jim Powell (jim@dgtraining.com) directly if you wish to contribute to this process and attend the meeting as a DGTA representative. All travel and other expenses (except for the welcoming reception) are borne by the member. The meetings are in June and November/Dec and we need at least 90 days notice of your firm commitment to be part of the delegation. We welcome any member or director's participation! DGTA Proposal for Quality Management Validation for Battery MFG

Paul Horner started this idea and I think it's a good one.  The question is should DGTA present an INF paper at the next UN meeting.  David Ritchie will be there, and probably Gene Sanders will as well.  Gene has said he'd make it so I will be staying stateside at this point.

I had asked Paul if he could contribute something as a thought-starter for this; I know we're all busy so even if we don't have that, the idea is pretty straightforward.  I will start a post on this any you all can contribute and comment as you see fit.
